The Keep Brevard Beautiful Annual Trash Bash will be April 17, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon.

The City of West Melbourne Trash Bash Team is looking for volunteers to make our neighborhoods beautiful and safer places to live. Individuals that would like to help improve our community can meet at the City Hall Council Chambers on April 17, 2010 at 7:30 a.m. to enjoy refreshments with fellow volunteers prior to starting the event. Beginning at 7:00 a.m., February 22 and continuing through March 15, 2010, Henry Avenue will be closed from the intersection with Hollywood Boulevard to Parkhill Boulevard. Those persons living on Henry Avenue east of Hollywood Boulevard must travel west to Hollywood Boulevard during this time. Those persons living in the Timber Ridge subdivision must travel north to U.S. 192. Those persons living on Parkhill Boulevard must travel north to Dorchester Avenue or U.S. 192. Persons should be alert for signs and construction workers in the area and drive with caution. In cooperation with a Brevard County road improvement project, the City will be performing water, sewer, road, and drainage improvements at the intersection of Henry Avenue and Timber Ridge Place. The West Melbourne Police Department's police officers will be out in force stopping and ticketing unbelted motorists during the the Click It or Ticket enforcement mobilization.
