The third West Melbourne interchange with Interstate 95 is under construction. The Ellis Road interchange, at the northernmost city limits, will join the Palm Bay Road at the southernmost city limits and U.S. 192 in the center of town as the third interchange when completed in Spring 2021.
Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) construction contractor Jr. Davis Construction started work in early October 2018 on the $39 million interchange. The new interchange will connect to Ellis Road and a future extension of the St. Johns Heritage Parkway that Brevard County will be constructing from U.S. 192 to the west leg of the new interchange.
Motorists are urged to use caution when driving along I-95 through the construction area. Information on temporary lane closures may be obtained from FDOT.
