Charges:
Minimum monthly bill for customers living with West Melbourne City Limits with both water and sewer
- $14.30 Water - Monthly Potable Water Service Charge
- Potable Water Consumption Charge is $4.67 per 1,000 gallons
- $21.23 Sewer - 0 to 2,000 gallons (over 2,000 gallon rate is $4.60 per 1,000)
- $ 1.43 Utility Tax (10% of water portion)

The minimum monthly rate for any portion of a month shall be billed. Residences with backflow meters will also have a $2.50 per month service fee and where reuse water is available a $9.00 per month flat rate will be charged for reuse water used for irrigation only.

Garbage Recycle and Yard Trash Charges:
$13.05 per month; Senior Citizen rate $10.26 (senior citizens need to apply at West Melbourne City Hall, in person, for the senior citizen discount).
The above charges do not apply to commercial accounts, mobile homes, citizens outside of West Melbourne city limits and residents who are supplied dumpsters through apartment or condominium complexes.

Utility bills are mailed monthly. Payments can be made in any of the following manners:

Delinquent Accounts:
Accounts are considered delinquent if payment has not been received by the close of business on the due date. If payment is not received on the due date, a delinquent notice will be mailed to the billing address. Water service will be discontinued if payment is not made by the date stated in the notice. Water service will not be resumed until the following charges are pain in full: 10% Late Charge assessment on past due portion AND $50.00. Turn off/on fee AND $xx.xx Past Due Bill.

Closing The Account:
The account must be closed in person or by signed letter by request of the account holder whose name appears on the bill. For your protection, no telephone requests will be accepted. The deposit will be refunded minus any outstanding amount due.

Social Security numbers are also used as a unique numeric identifier and may be used for search purposes.
