Section 4 Environment

This section contains two elements and although a separate parks element is not required, the City believes it is useful in land use and growth management matters to identify a separate element that provides the framework not just for conservation of natural features but promotes key principals with recreation. the two elements are:

  • Conservation and Open Space (Contains the statutory requirements for protection of natural features and identifies infrastructure measures to protect these resources)
  • Parks and Public Spaces (Identifies both the level of service standard for acreage of park land and the priorities in situating recreation and open space features)
