Notice is hereby given that the City of West Melbourne, Brevard County, Florida, has called for Public Hearing(s) to be held as follows: 

West Melbourne Planning & Zoning Board, December 8, 2020 at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in the Council Chamber located at 2285 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida. The Planning & Zoning Board will take public comment and make a recommendation to the City Council on whether to transmit the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 2020-02 (LSA) map amendment and rezone the property to City of West Melbourne Gateway Interchange District (GTWY-I).

West Melbourne City Council, December 15, 2020, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard in the Council Chamber located at 2285 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida.  The City Council will take public comment, the Planning and Zoning Board’s recommendation and consider whether to transmit the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 2020-02 (LSA) map amendment and rezone the property to City of West Melbourne Gateway Interchange District (GTWY-I).

Comprehensive Plan Amendment No. 2020-02 (LSA) map amendment proposes to amend the City’s future land use map to designate Parkway Interchange use for property consisting of 44.72 acres, more or less. The property is located on the south side of U.S. 192, west of Interstate 95, and east of St Johns Heritage Parkway and as indicated on the map of this advertisement. The property is more particularly described as follows:

The public hearing(s) may be continued to a time and date certain by announcement at the scheduled hearing without any further published notice.  A copy of the proposed comprehensive plan amendment is available for public inspection at City Hall, 2240 Minton Road, West Melbourne, Florida. All persons wishing to be heard should appear in person at these hearings or send written comments to the City Clerk.  All persons and parties are hereby advised that if they should decide to appeal any decision made by the City with respect to any matter considered at the public meeting or hearing described in this notice, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, said person or party may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (Chapter 286, Florida Statutes).  In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), anyone who needs a special accommodation for this meeting should contact the City Clerk at (321) 837-7774 at least 24 hours in advance of this meeting.
